Trio Tech - HMS Victoria - Lebanon
Lebanon has many shipwrecks but none as famous as the HMS Victoria, which was the flagship of Queen Victoria's Mediterranean fleet. The wreck was discovered by Mark Ellyatt and Christian Francis and their team in 2004. We are currently making arrangements for a trip to Lebanon to dive around the protected HMS Victoria for next year.
The HMS Victoria sank on 22nd June 1893 and 358 of her crew including Admiral Tryon were lost to the sea. The HMS Victoria stands vertically with the shallowest parts in 77 meters and the bow at more than 140 meters. Further details of this trip will be provided shortly.
HMS Victoria minutes before the end.
